Modern CV Template — Free
The default choice, and the safest one if you are not sure. A single column, generous spacing, and one teal accent colour used only for section rules — nothing a recruiter has to decode before they can read your name.
It is the template to pick when your experience should do the talking: tech, engineering, finance, operations, and any application going through an automated screening system first.

Who this suits
- Software, engineering and IT roles, where recruiters skim for stack keywords.
- Finance, accounting and operations — conservative fields that still want to look current.
- Anyone applying through a company careers portal, where an ATS reads the file before a human does.
- Career changers: the plain structure keeps attention on what you did, not on the layout.
What the design does
- One column, so nothing is read out of order by a parser.
- Teal rules under each section heading — colour used for structure, not decoration.
- Generous line height, which keeps a dense two-page CV readable.
- Contact details on one line under your name, no icons to render badly in print.
When to choose something else
If you are applying for a design, art-direction or brand role, this will read as under-designed — Elegant or Onyx shows more personality. And if you have twenty years of history to fit, Sidebar packs more into the same page.
Modern CV template — FAQ
Is this template free?
Yes. Every template is free with no watermark on the design itself. Free downloads add one small line at the bottom crediting Confileo; a subscription removes it.
Will it pass ATS screening?
Yes. All text is real selectable text, not an image, and the section headings use standard names (Experience, Education, Skills) that applicant tracking systems parse correctly.
Does it work in Arabic?
Yes. Choose Arabic as the document language and the whole layout flips to right-to-left with proper Arabic letter shaping — the text is not mirrored or broken.
Can I change it after downloading?
You can come back and edit any time — your draft is saved in your browser. To change the wording of an exported PDF, edit it here and download again rather than editing the PDF itself.
