About Small Text Generator
Confileo's Small Text Generator tool makes small caps, superscript and subscript text you can copy and paste into any plain-text field. Everything runs in your browser, free and without signup, and your files are deleted automatically after processing.
Small text has a specific job: fitting a subtitle, a handle, a tagline or a note into a field that offers only one size. Instagram and TikTok bios, Discord and Telegram names, Twitch panels, game nicknames, Notion and Google Docs headings and most profile fields have no font-size control, so the only way to make one line look smaller than another is to use characters that are smaller by design.
Three small styles are generated here, and choosing between them matters more than it first appears. Small caps replaces lowercase letters with miniature capitals and stays comfortably readable at any size, which makes it the right default for anything a person actually has to read. Superscript raises the text and shrinks it much further, sitting above the baseline — best for short accents, separators and decorative touches. Subscript drops below the line for the same effect in the other direction.
Unicode coverage of these is uneven, and it is better to say so than to hide it. Small caps has a character for every letter except x, which has no small-capital form and passes through unchanged. Superscript covers the full alphabet and the digits. Subscript is the thinnest set by far — Unicode only ever assigned subscript forms for a, e, h, i, j, k, l, m, n, o, p, r, s, t, u, v and x, so b, c, d, f, g, q, w, y and z come through as ordinary letters. That is a limit of the character set, not of this tool, and no generator can work around it. If a word looks half-converted in subscript, try small caps or superscript instead.
All twenty-six of the site's styles render from the same box, so if small text turns out not to be what you wanted you can see the alternatives without retyping. Each one copies with a single tap and pastes as plain characters.
The same accessibility caveat applies as for the other Unicode styles: a screen reader reads these out by character name rather than as words, and search engines do not treat them as the plain word. Superscript in particular is small enough to be genuinely hard to read on a phone. Use small text for decoration and hierarchy, and keep names, contact details and anything that must be searchable in ordinary letters.

Small Text Generator — Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between small caps and tiny text?
Small caps replaces lowercase letters with miniature capitals and keeps every letter clearly readable, which suits a bio line or a subtitle someone actually has to read. Superscript is much smaller and sits above the baseline, so it reads as decoration rather than as text — better for accents, separators and short handles than for a sentence.
Why did some letters not get smaller?
Unicode never assigned the full alphabet for every small form. Small caps covers every letter except x. Subscript is the thinnest set: only a, e, h, i, j, k, l, m, n, o, p, r, s, t, u, v and x exist, so b, c, d, f, g, q, w, y and z come through as ordinary letters. No generator can work around that, because the characters do not exist. Use small caps or superscript if you need every letter converted.
Does small text work in game nicknames?
Usually yes — small caps in particular is widely accepted in game name fields because it uses long-established characters. Some games restrict nicknames to a specific character set and reject anything outside it; if a name is refused, try small caps before the other styles, as it has the broadest support.
Can I use small text for my whole bio?
You can, but it reads poorly on a phone and screen readers announce it character by character rather than reading the words. It works best as hierarchy — one small line under a normal-sized one — with anything people need to search for or read aloud kept in ordinary letters.
Is this tool really free?
Yes. Every Confileo tool is free to use with no daily caps, no watermark on your output and no credit card required.
Do I need to create an account?
No. You can use the tool straight away without signing up or logging in.
Are my files safe and private?
Yes. Your files are processed for the task you requested and then deleted automatically — they are never shared or kept.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. The tool runs in any modern browser, so it works the same on desktop, tablet and mobile with nothing to install.
