Information We Collect

Confileo collects minimal information necessary to provide our services. When you use our file conversion tools, we temporarily process the files you upload. We do not require account creation or personal information to use our core tools. If you contact us, we may collect your name and email address solely to respond to your inquiry.

How We Use Your Information

Your files are processed solely for the purpose of performing the conversion or operation you requested. We use analytics to improve our services and understand usage patterns. When you are signed in to an account, we also keep a record of your activity with it — the tools you used and whether each one worked, the type and size of your files (never their names or contents), the pages you visited and the buttons you pressed — for up to six months, so we can support you and fix what goes wrong. When you delete your account, this record is deleted or no longer linked to you. We never access the content of your files, use them for training AI models, or share them with any third party.

Data Storage & Security

All files travel over an encrypted HTTPS (TLS) connection. Uploaded files are stored temporarily on our server only while they are processed, and are deleted automatically — right after you download the result, and within one hour at most. Many tools run entirely in your browser, in which case the file is never uploaded. We protect our infrastructure with firewalls, an origin server that accepts traffic only through Cloudflare, and regular security reviews. To protect the site and its advertisers from fraudulent clicks, when an ad is clicked we record the time, the page, the country and the IP address of the click, keep them for 90 days and use them only to detect and stop repeated invalid clicks.

Cookies & Tracking

Confileo uses essential cookies required for the website to function, such as remembering your language and keeping you signed in, plus analytics to understand how the site is used. Free pages also show ads served by our advertising partners (currently Google AdSense, Monetag and Adsterra), which may set advertising cookies; where required, a consent dialog lets you accept or refuse Google's advertising cookies, and paid plans remove ads entirely.

Third-Party Services

We may use third-party services for analytics and infrastructure. These services are bound by their own privacy policies and we ensure they meet our security standards. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party for marketing or advertising purposes.

Your Rights

You have the right to know what data we collect about you, request deletion of any personal data, opt out of analytics tracking, and contact us with any privacy concerns. Since we collect minimal data and automatically delete uploaded files, most of these rights are addressed by default through our privacy-first architecture.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. Any significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
