About Bubble Text Generator
Confileo's Bubble Text Generator tool makes bubble letters, filled bubble letters and squared text you can copy and paste. Everything runs in your browser, free and without signup, and your files are deleted automatically after processing.
Bubble letters are the enclosed styles: each character sits inside a circle or a square. They are the oldest decorative text on the internet by a wide margin, they turn up in usernames, retro and Y2K-styled bios, numbered lists, rating rows and gaming tags, and they have one practical advantage over everything else on this site — they render almost everywhere, including on old phones and in apps whose font coverage is years out of date.
That reliability is a matter of age. The circled letters live in the Enclosed Alphanumerics block, which Unicode assigned in 1993, so essentially every font shipped since has covered it. The newer sets on this page — filled bubble and the two squared sets — sit in Enclosed Alphanumeric Supplement, added in 2010, which is still far older than the Mathematical Alphanumeric styles most generators lead with. If you have ever pasted a fancy nickname somewhere and watched it turn into a row of boxes, this is the family to try instead.
Four sets are generated from the same box and their coverage is not identical, which is the detail most pages leave out. Outline bubble covers upper case, lower case and the digits, including a zero, so it is the only one of the four that can render a full sentence with numbers in it. Filled bubble, squared and filled squared were only ever assigned capital letters in Unicode, so lower-case input comes back in capitals inside the shape rather than being silently dropped. That is deliberate: substituting a mismatched character from another block to fake a lower-case form is how generators end up producing output that looks broken on someone else's device.
The circled digits deserve their own note because they are more useful than they look. Unicode covers 1 through 20 in the circled forms, plus a separate zero, which is exactly enough for a numbered list in a bio, a ranking, a step sequence in a caption, or a countdown — all places where the app offers no list formatting and a plain "1." gets swallowed by the line above.
The usual caution applies with one softening. Screen readers announce these by character name and search engines do not match them to the plain word, so a name someone needs to find should stay in ordinary letters. But because bubble text keeps one recognisable letter inside each shape, it is among the easier decorative styles to read at a glance — which is why it survives in numbered lists and ratings where the more heavily substituted styles do not.

Bubble Text Generator — Frequently asked questions
Why do the filled bubble and squared styles come out in capitals?
Unicode only ever assigned capital letters to those blocks, so there is no lower-case character to map to. Rather than dropping the letter or faking it with a mismatched character from another block — which is how output ends up looking broken on someone else's device — the capital form inside the shape is used. The outline bubble set does cover lower case if you need it.
Does bubble text work everywhere?
It is the most widely supported family on this site. The circled letters were added to Unicode in 1993, so essentially every font shipped since covers them; the filled and squared sets date from 2010, still far older than the mathematical styles most generators lead with. If a fancy nickname has ever turned into a row of boxes for you, try this family instead.
What is the difference between bubble and square text?
Only the enclosing shape — bubble puts each character in a circle, square puts it in a rounded box. Both come in an outline and a filled version, where filled inverts the colours so the letter is knocked out of a solid shape. The filled versions read as heavier and stand out more in a list; the outline versions stay legible at smaller sizes.
Can I make bubble numbers?
Yes. Unicode covers the circled digits 1 to 20, plus a separate zero, which the outline bubble set uses. That is enough for a numbered list in a bio, a ranking, a countdown or a step sequence in a caption — all places where the app offers no list formatting of its own.
Is this tool really free?
Yes. Every Confileo tool is free to use with no daily caps, no watermark on your output and no credit card required.
